El Museo Alberto Mena Caamaño ofrece al público su exposición permanente “De Quito al Ecuador”, oferta cultural ligada al ámbito político en un contexto más amplio (la correlación España-América), que desarrolla los hechos sucedidos en el territorio de la Real Audiencia de Quito a partir de 1730, la introducción de la Ilustración, la modernización del pensamiento local, el reordenamiento político, el proceso de independencia, hechos que derivaron en la conformación de la República del Ecuador en 1835, en base a una museografía que emplea escenas con 44 figuras de cera. Es uno de los espacios culturales más visitados de la Red Metropolitana de Cultura.
