Yaku Parque Museo del Agua abrió sus puertas el 5 de diciembre del 2005. Estamos ubicados históricamente donde funcionaron desde 1913 los primeros tanquesde recolección y purificación del agua.

Nuestro principal objetivo es generar un espacio de encuentro, donde a través de programas expositivos, educativos,  comunitarios y de investigación – acción – participación, cada visitante pueda conocer y co-construir la historia del agua, valorar sus propiedades, reflexionar sobre el uso responsable del agua y promover una cultura de agua.

Como espacio cultural buscamos posicionarnos en el ámbito nacional e internacional como un espacio de encuentro y de educación no formal, para todos los públicos, donde a través del juego, el arte y la ciencia nuestros visitantes puedan contribuir al tejido social, a la co-construcción de significados en torno al agua y a la reflexión y ejercicio de los derechos culturales.
